Roland Caillaux

Roland Caillaux (aka Caipland) Born: January 5, 1905 Paris, Died: December 3, 1977. Roland Raymond Ferdinand Caillaud was a French painter and draftsman of the twentieth century, who was also a film actor under the name of Roland Caillaux, active between 1924 and 1947.

Invitation (1944) by Roland Caillaux best known for illustrating a book with 20 lithographies, images of male homosexuality, including explicit sexual activity. The book was published in 1945, without the name of the author, the publisher or place of publication, with a print run of only 115 copies.
