Rupert Bunny

Before his late marriage, Australian artist Rupert Bunny (1864–1947), mixed in a Proustian circle, including with painter Alastair Cary-Elwes whom he lived with and reaches out to here, and gay writer Zsigmond Justh, who described him splendidly dressed as an angel in gauzy Indian voile.

Bunny met art student Jeanne Heloise Morel in 1895, while painting in Paris. They married in 1902.
