Nightclub singer and bodybuilder Jacques Pannier, Mr. North Africa 1950 (and a descendant of Jacques Étienne Pannier, the famous French historian) started in the 40s and was still going strong by the early 60s. He posed for a number of photographers including Arax, Fererro, and Jon Paginton.
