Karel Egermeyer

Karel Egermeyer (1903-1991) was a talented Czechoslovakian photographer known for his portrayal of boyhood and athleticism in the 40s and 50s. He’s most famous for his “Paysage des Olympiques” from 1940 and his series on scouts and athletes from the late 40s.

    Never knew this photographer’s name.
    Amazing body of work.
    I did used to see copies of the book The Boy,
    In book store windows in San Francisco. Price was always high. But the book was really beautiful and very well done.
    This is a great post.
